Immersive Sound R&D

In collaboration with IKLECTIK - March 2021

AMOENUS will collaborate with IKLECTIK art centre to host a series of immersive audio research and development.

The R&Ds will take place on our new 13.4 Ambisonics sound system and involve a diverse group of artists, each exploring 3D audio practices in their respective artistic fields. 

Details of the researches will be shared in due course and a dedicated sharing event will take place as soon as it will be possible.

Online Binaural Event 

An evening of vocal synthesis and digital processing and EMG muscle sensing streamed live from IKLECTIK.

The event also featured 3 readings by Brandon LaBelle, Sally Jane Norman and David Toop.

The event was performed on AMOENUS 13.4 sound system and streamed live in binaural, the audience is invited to use headphones to fully enjoy all the audible delicacies and the 3D spatialisation of the pieces.

Open Call: Immersive Sound R&D

Applications Closed - October - 2020

We invite artists and researchers from a variety of disciplines to apply for the Immersive Sound Research and Development Open Call. The selected artist will be given time and support for artistic research on the Amoenus 3D Sound System @IKLECTIK.

The result of the research will be shared in a public showcase.

3D Sound System 


AMOENUS has put together a team of engineers and manufacturers to built its very own 13.4 multichannel sound system.

The 17 speakers have been designed specifically for spatial audio and built to the highest standard of audio fidelity to bring studio sound quality into public performance spaces.

The sound system is currently installed at IKLECTIK, London.
